"Hello,
My name is Patrick Henry. I played a large part in the colonist movement towards independence. We were very angry at this time, because the British were taxing us unfairly. We were being forced to pay high taxes on items that we needed. Worst of all we did not have a vote on how to run our new land. This led to the cheer "No Taxation, Without Representation". These sayings along with political cartoons helped to spread the word of the unjust treatment (we did not have Facebook, Instagram, Texting...or really electricity). Look at the image of the cartoon below it was create right before the Stamp Act was enforced. Use the stamp to determine opinions and feelings of the colonist during this time period. "
